1. Information We Collect
When you install the Cart Call Shopify application, we collect specific data required to perform our automated phone recovery service:
- Merchant Information: Store name, email address, Shopify domain, and configuration settings (e.g., quiet hours, call delays).
- Customer Information: When a cart is abandoned, we securely receive the customer's name, phone number, language preference, cart contents, and total order value.
2. Call Audio and Transcripts
To provide the service, our AI (powered by Retell AI) interacts with your customers via voice. We temporarily process the audio to generate a text transcript of the conversation. These transcripts are stored in our secure database and displayed exclusively in your Shopify Admin dashboard. We do not use your customers' audio or transcripts to train public AI models.
3. How We Use the Data
Customer data is used strictly for the single purpose of executing the abandoned cart voice call and providing you with post-call analytics. We do not sell, rent, or share your customers' data with third-party marketers or data brokers.
4. Data Retention and GDPR/CCPA
We adhere to Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (Customer Data Request, Customer Data Erasure, and Shop Erasure). If a customer requests the deletion of their data from your Shopify store, we will automatically delete their phone number, name, and associated call transcripts from our servers within the mandated timeframe.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We utilize trusted third-party sub-processors to facilitate our service. This includes secure cloud hosting (e.g., Supabase/AWS) and telecommunications AI infrastructure (e.g., Retell AI). All sub-processors are bound by strict data processing agreements.
